I'm reading a book right now-- "Who's Got Your Back" by Keith Ferrazzi, and he states, "We're all entrepreneurs of our own ideas, whether we own our own companies or work for someone else. We're all leaders in our own lives--with or colleagues, with our employees, with our kids, and in our communities. Each on of us is a salesperson of ourselves and our opinions..."
It's such a crazy concept, but I hope there is a time in everyone's life that they go through toddlerhood again; that time where you learn that life is about choices, and that you have control!
As I deal with my own "wonderful" two-year-old, I see how she is testing the waters of independence, challenging social norms, and questioning the reasoning behind Mommy's demands. And I wonder, isn't life about being your own entrepreneur?
Embrace challenges, question "rules", know that your ideas have merit, and be the best salesperson of yourself that you can. You have so much to offer this world, and I hope you embrace the opportunity to share your finest light with others.
What great things are you contributing to the everyday world?
Wow, Ashley. That was a great video and speaks to the struggle I'm going through right now in my life as I approach 40 and have just been laid off.
As hard as it is sometimes to stay positive, something inside (for the first time in my life) is telling me that opportunity abounds if I just keep at it. The video was a reminder of that.
I'm enjoying every moment of this life I call my home--it's the path I've chosen and each day I thank God that I get to walk it. I'll celebrate my fifth wedding anniversary this year, and welcome baby number two into our home in the fall. My life may have it's ups and downs, but I never cease to be inspired by it. I'm a mother, and every experience is a lesson to be learned...for me and for my children. My example is their looking glass to the world, and I'm eager to let it be a happy one. I'm content to embrace each day and live in the present, and I'm eager to push myself to reach for tomorrow and make it even better. Here I'll strive to reflect the positive...even when the negative may be an easier route. Here is where I grow as I write and learn about motherhood, being a loving spouse, spirituality, and personal struggles and triumphs. This blog is my diary from the heart.
